With over 60 years of technical experience and know-how in optics, Kowa is proud to present the next generation of crystal clear, super wide angle, fixed focal length lenses. In particular, Kowa’s 8.5mm F2.8 model is able to produce ultra HD resolution by applying high precision aspherical lens elements. This design allows our 8.5mm lens to have minimal distortion even though it projects a super wide angle of view.
Features
The 8.5mm focal length model (KOWA PROMINAR 8.5mm F2.8) achieves a realistic and large-scale imaging expression with a distortion value of only 0.12% even though it offers a diagonal angle of view of 106°.
[Note] Some lenses of the micro four thirds system standard may not be mounted to the camera.
The model with a wide angle of view and a 12mm focal length (KOWA PROMINAR 12mm F1.8) has a bright F1.8 aperture, and its distortion value has also been reduced to 0.59%.
[Note] Some lenses of the micro four thirds system standard may not be mounted to the camera.
The model with a 25mm standard focal length (KOWA PROMINAR 25mm F1.8) suited for use in a variety of shooting environments has a bright F1.8 aperture, and provides a sharp image.
[Note] Some lenses of the micro four thirds system standard may not be mounted to the camera.
Kowa’s XD Lenses (extra-low dispersion glass), when combined with a concave lens possessing special dispersion properties, reduces a very high percentage of chromatic aberration.
A dual Link Iris system makes it possible to choose silent or click aperture adjustment. Aperture settings can be changed in an instant to suit the photographic subject.
The construction of the aperture blades with 9 elements makes it possible that the diaphragm shows a circle at all f-stops, creating a more natural impression.
All internal parts are protected by a solid and rigid aluminium housing.
The body feels reassuringly well made with good balance and weightiness in the hand and when attached to a camera body.
The floating mechanism system is effective in preventing malfunction and increasing the life of the lens. High optical performance was achieved in all photographic subject distances.
The Atlas SWIR is a Factory Tough IP67 camera with high-performance sensor cooling designed to provide reliable operation and consistent imaging performance within -20 to 50°C industrial environments. The Atlas is equipped with an integrated single-stage thermoelectric sensor cooling (TEC1), along with an internal heatsink and larger camera case resulting in a constant 15°C sensor temperature for low dark current during streaming. Triton SWIR IP67 camera
The Triton SWIR provides the same Factory Tough IP67 features as the Atlas SWIR but does not include the internal cooling components. The Triton does not contain a TEC1 cooling device or a large internal heatsink. This allows the camera to be more compact and cost-effective, however, users must manage their own cooling solution for the camera to regulate increased dark current during operation. This camera is intended for those who want maximum design flexibility and control over their own thermal management design.
